Magazine
Mervyn Peake
Kandinsky's woodcuts
Auguste Rodin
Eric Ravilious
David Hockney's Palette
Reading the Royal Academy magazine I decided to scan the images I found most interesting...It's a pitty I had to leave behind the photos of beautiful Rodin's sculptures from his upcoming exhibition. Next time perhaps.
I like Quino but I am not sure I like Gotlib.(Gottlieb!...I just realise that that must be his real name.."Dear God" in German...and he was a very anarchic and irreverent artist!)
I like this name that sounds like an adjective "Ravilious".
ReplyDeleteYou know anything else about him?

ReplyDeletemy top two here are, Peake, followed by Rodin.
ReplyDeleteI really like the way Hockney organizes his palette...Cold and warm colours in different compartments
ReplyDeleteO yes, very interesting palette. On my view He is very accurate, probably he drew very long and thoroughly. :O)
