



Four paintings by the great Italian Divisionist Giusseppe Pellizza da Volpedo, Born in Volpedo, Tortona, Italy, in july 1868, commited suicide following the death of his beloved wife in july 1907.
He painted the famous political work "the fourth state", depicting striking workers marching to the front of the picture. This image was recreated by the filmmaker Bernardo Bertolucci in his epic "1900"

ReplyDeleteEl de novecento, tuve la oportunidad de verlo en vivo y de casualidad en Milan, en un viaje que hicimos con el luchini en 1997. Nos caímos de culo cuando lo reconocimos. Encima es bastante chico (por lo menos, comparado con la pantalla de cine)
