Riccardo Manzi

I loved Riccardo Manzi's drawings at first sight. I found his loose lines and compositional freedom incredibly exciting at a time when round noses and popping eyes prevailed in cartooning (Just like now!). Manzi was a very sophisticated illustrator and painter extraordinaire in the style of Paul Klee.
He also made some beautiful sculptures of useless machines with garbage.
The drawings below are from an italian weekly of the late 1950's

"Poor kid! Hes an orphan....He murdered his whole family!"

Milton Glaser

I had the pleasure and the honour of meeting Milton Glaser in few occasions. Not only I find his works wonderful, but he is one of the most cultivated and articulate persons I've ever met
