I've been fascinated with Richard Dadd ever since I saw a drawing by Jasper Johns called "Nothing At All Richard Dadd", which can be seen here (bottom right corner).
I don't know if you ever seen an original painting by Dadd. His handling of oil is amazing, he creates very strange 3-D effects with impasto. His work is very "overpainted" but that adds to the sense of mystery and morbidity of is art. Mucho mejor que las acuarelas de Hitler.
ReplyDeleteBuscalo a Richard Dadd en google, es INTERESANTISIMO.
