I think so, he is in my pantheon of heroes anyway...Once I saw a book by Gulbransson in a Mayfair antique bookshop. I wanted to buy it but it was 80 centimeters high and I was going somewhere so I could't carry it with me...When I came back it was gone!!!....I still hate myself for not having reserved it. Amazon sells a graphic novel by Edelman called "The Incredible" I don't know it but I am sure it is wonderful...He sends me the funniest Christmas cards in the world in comics form.
You lucky man, you! I have a book by one of Gulbranson's students. His name is Hans Pfannmueller and he earned a living doing portrait caricatures and cartoons in Germany. his work is clearly influenced by Gulbranson but not as inspired, I think.
