Niko Pirosmani
Niko Pirosmanashvili was born in 1862 in Mirzaani, Georgia and died of neglect, as a beggar, in 1918.
His paintings are full of charm and are celebration of life painted with a childlike view of the world around him.
Georgi Shenghelaya made in 1971 a wonderful film about his life. I count this film amongst the best I ever seen about an artist.
