Once I tried to demonstrate to some animation students how wonderful Steinberg's work looks in a film screen and composed these on a film frame shape...He had drawn the credits of Hitchcock's "The Trouble with Harry" in 1955 and it looked quite amazing...He was also "the hand" that paints for Gene Kelly in "An American In Paris"....

I never liked Bernard Buffet but I find his paintings of Paris fascinating.
Maybe is because I saw them after seen for first time the Nouvelle Vague films of Truffaut and Goddard...Who knows.

El Maestro

I want to give a taste of the art of one of the most extraordinary artists living today. The Uruguayan Hermenegildo "Menchi" Sábat. Menchi honours me with his friendship of forty years. Enjoy these caricatures of Charlie Christian, Egon Schiele and Gustav Klimt. Very soon I'll do an extensive posting of the work of this great artist.
