Homage to an Unknown Artist

These are frames from Jacques Rivette's "Paris Nous Appartient" (Shot in 1957, released in 1961) I don't know who drew the pictures in the walls of "Phillip Kaufman's" (Daniel Crohem) room but I love them...They are almost fifty years old and look incredibly contemporary.

Dave McKean

Grillo and McKean in Rome in December 2004
Dave McKean gave me this book and I found with surprise, delight and great honour that he wrote a dedication to me!!...
The meeting of Bradbury and McKean is extraordinary and this book is excellent...I urge you to get it immediately at your local bookseller or through the net!

Patoruzú

Patoruzú's first issue, from November 1936

By Dante Quinterno (Bs. As. 1909-2003) "Patoruzu" was one of the most influencial magazines published in Argentina...Patoruzú was a wonderful character, an innocent and noble Patagon Indian. "Upa En Apuros" (1942), an animated Patoruzú short, remains a classic of Latin American animation. Art Babbit told me he had been an animation adviser for it.
